CodeTantra Coding Platform
SVPCET successfully rolled out the CodeTantra Coding Platform as part of its strategic initiative to enhance students’ programming skills and improve their employability. The implementation spanned from February 2024 to May 2025, covering multiple semesters and integrating with existing programming theory and practical courses.
A total of 1,029 students across 10 branches actively participated, enrolling in 15 structured programming courses designed to build strong foundations in problem-solving, logical thinking, and coding proficiency. The platform provided students with a cloud-based coding environment that is industry-recognized and widely used across the nation by over 12 lakh learners, 66,000 faculty members, and 1,457 institutions.
To ensure effective delivery, three dedicated faculty training programs were conducted, equipping 19 faculty members from 10 departments with the necessary skills to act as course coordinators and mentors. Additionally, two review meetings were held to monitor progress, address challenges, and refine implementation strategies for maximum impact.
One of the key strengths of the CodeTantra platform is its secure and disciplined coding environment. The system prevents copy-pasting, restricts internet access, and blocks the use of GenAI tools during coding exercises. This feature encouraged students to develop original solutions, practice authentic problem-solving, and build confidence in tackling coding challenges independently — skills highly valued by recruiters.
The initiative recorded 100% attainment of objectives, with measurable improvement in students’ technical readiness, consistency in coding practice, and preparedness for industry-level assessments and placement drives. Faculty involvement ensured regular monitoring and personalized mentoring for students, further enhancing learning outcomes.
This implementation has significantly contributed to bridging the industry-academia skill gap, positioning SVPCET students to compete effectively in the job market, while also establishing a sustainable framework for coding education for future batches.
