The Department of Industrial IoT organized an industrial visit for fifth semester students to Mini-Mines Cleantech Solutions and the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore, from 8th October to 14th October 2025. A total of 53 students, two faculty members, and one non-teaching staff member participated in the visit.

The objective of the visit was to provide students with practical exposure to emerging technologies and industrial practices relevant to their field of study.

Students visited, Mini-Mines Cleantech Solutions which is a sustainable and efficient lithium-ion battery recycling company offering clean-tech solutions that contribute to the electric vehicle ecosystem. They gained insights into the company’s recycling technologies, process efficiency, and sustainable energy initiatives.

Students also visited, The Indian Institute of Science which is a premier research university in science, engineering, design, and management. The visit provided students with valuable exposure to advanced research infrastructure, innovation-driven projects, and academic excellence at a national institute of repute.

In addition to the industrial visits, students also had the opportunity to visit a few cultural and educational sites in Bangalore and Coorg, which enhanced their overall learning experience and provided broader exposure beyond academics.

The industrial visit was a valuable learning experience, offering students the opportunity to connect theoretical knowledge with real-world applications, gain insights into current industry practices, and explore advancements in sustainable technologies.
