Vande Mataram – 150 Years Celebration

NSS Unit, St. Vincent Pallotti College of Engineering & Technology, Nagpur, organized a special program “Vande Mataram – 150 Years Celebration” on 16th October 2025 to commemorate 150 glorious years of India’s national song, Vande Mataram. The program was scheduled from 1:15 PM to 2:15 PM in the 3rd Floor Auditorium, B Block, SVPCET.

The grand celebration was slated to revive the spirit of patriotism, unity, and cultural pride, saluting the eternal tradition that Vande Mataram has left behind. The event saw keen participation from the students, faculty members, and NSS volunteers, all showcasing their love and respect for the nation through speeches, songs, and performances.

The event was judged by Prof. Sneha Awchat, Dr. Priti S. Uparkar, and Prof. Vrushali Pethe, who appreciated the participants for their inspiring expressions and confident delivery. NSS B.Voc Faculty Coordinator Shilpa Ma’am was also present and extended her support and encouragement throughout the program.

A speech competition was conducted as part of the celebration. Miss.Vaidehi Kathoke (2nd Year, CSEDS) secured the First Prize, while Miss.Shraddha Vikas Bhute (1st Year, Civil) was awarded the Second Runner-Up position for their outstanding performances. And Essay competition Mr.Sachit Patil(3rd Year CSEDS) secured the First  Prize and Mr.Roopam Zade(2nd Year IIOT) secured Second Prize

The event came to a close with the assembled crowd singing Vande Mataram, filled with pride and oneness. The celebration turned out very well, reflecting the spirit of “Not Me, But You” and instilling a sense of patriotism in the minds of the SVPCET family.
