Workshop on Fundamentals of C Programming

The Department of Computer Engineering, in collaboration with the ACM Student Chapter, organized a Fundamentals of C Programming Workshop on Sunday, 29th September 2024, from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM in online mode (Google Meet). The workshop was conducted by the Code Arena Team and witnessed active participation from 136 students across 1st, 2nd, and 3rd year of the department.

The objective of the workshop was to provide students with a solid foundation in C programming, preparing them for the upcoming Code Arena-24 competition. The session focused on introducing key programming concepts, debugging skills, and practical problem-solving in C. Special emphasis was given to first-year students, helping them strengthen their basics before entering competitive coding.

The workshop began with a brief introduction and an explanation of the Code Arena event format and rounds, ensuring participants were familiar with the competition structure. The technical content included basics of C programming, compiling and debugging code, setting up coding environments (VS Code and MinGW), and solving real-world problems through C programs.

The session was interactive and engaging, with students actively participating and sharing queries through the chat. It was led by Paritosh Magare, Ayush Kshirsagar, and Pratiksha Ghate, whose combined efforts ensured effective delivery and smooth execution and was under the guidance of Prof. Pallavi Wankhede ACM Officer. The workshop concluded successfully, equipping students with fundamental programming skills and motivating them to participate confidently in Code Arena-24.
