On 8th August 2025, the Mechanical Engineering Department organised an industrial visit to MetalTech Engineering, Hingna MIDC, Nagpur, for 32 seventh-semester students. The visit was coordinated by Dr. Ghanshyam Boob and accompanied by faculty members Dr. P. S. Nerkar, Prof. Namrata Nagpurkar, and Prof. Anthony Augustine.

At the factory, students were received by Mr. Mohamed Iqbal R. Sheikh, who guided them through various machining processes, quality control practices, and safety protocols. A significant part of the visit involved a detailed discussion on Die and Tool Design, covering design principles, material selection, manufacturing methods, and maintenance strategies to enhance durability and precision.

The visit enabled students to link theoretical concepts with industrial applications, broaden their understanding of manufacturing technologies, and appreciate the role of design in production efficiency. It was an insightful and career-enriching experience for all participants.
