Industrial Visit to Saini Electricals
The Department of Electrical Engineering organized an industrial visit to Saini Electricals, Butibori, Nagpur, on 2nd August 2025 for third-semester Electrical Engineering students. The visit aimed to provide students with practical exposure to industrial processes and manufacturing technologies relevant to their field of study.
During the visit, Mr. Gaurav Sambhe, Junior Executive, HR, guided the students and provided detailed information about the various manufacturing units of Saini Electricals. The facility includes the production of Motorized Bogie/Truck Assemblies, AC/DC Traction Motors, Traction Alternators, Smoothing Reactors, Auxiliary Motors and Alternators, Engine Room Blowers, Wheel Sets, and Compressor Motors. These components are used in different types of rail vehicles such as passenger trains, freight trains, suburban railways, tramways, and metros.
Students had the opportunity to observe the components and assembly processes of traction motors (induction motors), a topic directly related to their academic curriculum. This hands-on experience helped bridge the gap between theoretical learning and real-world industry practices.
The industrial visit was coordinated by Mrs. Shradha Banode and Mr. Kunal Onkar, and was well-received by the students as a valuable learning experience.
