Study Abroad & Higher Education Opportunities
The Career Development Cell of the Mechanical Engineering Department organized a guest lecture on “Study Abroad & Higher Education Opportunities” on 28th July 2025, from 2:15 PM to 4:15 PM in Mechanical Classroom S-20, targeted at 7th Semester Mechanical Engineering students. The session, coordinated by Mr. Pramodkumar Borle, aimed to create awareness among final-year students about opportunities for studying abroad.
Mr. Vipin Mokadam, AVP Branch Operations at KC Overseas, Nagpur, delivered the lecture, drawing on his vast experience guiding students through the overseas education process. The primary goal was to familiarize students with key aspects of international education, including the admission process, scholarships, exams such as GRE, TOEFL, and IELTS, visa procedures, and the benefits of studying at foreign universities.
Mr. Mokadam covered a range of important topics during the session, including top study destinations such as the USA, Canada, UK, Australia, and Germany, the importance of early planning, and the steps involved in applying to universities abroad. He provided tips on crafting impactful SOPs (Statements of Purpose) and Letters of Recommendation, as well as insights into standardized tests.
The session also addressed financial planning, scholarship opportunities, and common myths about studying abroad. Students actively participated in the discussion, asking questions about specific universities, courses, and application strategies. By the end of the lecture, many students expressed interest in exploring study abroad options and were motivated to begin preparing for exams and applications. The session was a success, providing students with valuable knowledge and a clearer understanding of global education opportunities.
