The Department of Engineering, Sciences and Humanities organized a hands-on training session on the Casio fx-991CW Scientific Calculator on 11th July 2025, in collaboration with Casio. The event took place at the Seminar Hall, F-12, Academic Block-A, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 Noon, with 15 faculty members and 65 students from all branches in attendance.

The objective was to introduce faculty and students to the Casio fx-991CW, a model permitted in exams and ideal for solving problems in Mathematics, Physics, and Engineering. The session covered the calculator’s user-friendly interface, its features, and its advantages over the older fx-991ES Plus.

Demonstrations included solving algebraic equations, matrix functions, statistical operations, and integral and differential calculations used in Engineering Mathematics. Participants were given calculators for hands-on practice, with real-time support provided for solving sample problems.
