Pallotti Hosts “Cultivating Human Excellence 3.0” Workshop for School Educators

On 9th April, 2025, St. Vincent Pallotti College of Engineering & Technology (SVPCET), Nagpur, hosted a one-day national workshop titled “Cultivating Human Excellence 3.0 – Well Being as a Foundation for Excellence in Academics.” The event drew participation from leading educators, academic experts, and thought leaders across the region, all united in exploring the intersection of mental well-being and academic success. The workshop witnessed the enthusiastic participation of 178 school educators, with delegates joining not only from Nagpur but also from regions like Balaghat and Chandrapur, adding a wider regional presence this year.

Chief Guest Mr. G. Balasubramanian, former Director (Academics) of CBSE, New Delhi on his keynote address underscored the need to prioritize emotional and psychological wellness in educational settings. He urged institutions to adopt inclusive and mindful teaching practices that nurture both intellect and character.

A key highlight of the event was the presentation of Lifetime Achievement Awards to three stalwarts of the education sector:

  • Mrs. Neeru Kapai, Director Modern School, Nagpur
  • Mrs. Kana Roy Chaudhary, Former Principal, Centre Point School, Nagpur.
  • Ms. Annapoorni Shastri, recognized for her enduring service to education (honored in absentia).

The workshop featured four sessions with impactful presentations by notable speakers:

  • Mrs. Neeru Kapai on “Promoting Holistic Well-being through Inclusion, Safety & Awareness in Schools.”
  • Sr. Elizabeth Beena on “A Journey Towards Excellence and Holistic Well-Being.”
  • Dr. Mrunalini Dasture on “Be Intentional with Your Time for Holistic Well-Being.”
  • Mrs. Bharti Bijwe on “Mindfulness.”

The convenor of the workshop was Dr. Abhranil Banerjee and Co-convenor was Dr. Madhura Kulkarni.

The event served as a platform for meaningful dialogue and reaffirmed Pallotti College’s commitment to nurturing well-being as a cornerstone of academic excellence.
