Department of Civil Engineering organized an Interaction with alumni on March 27, 2025, for second year students. The focus was on higher education opportunities and career aspirations by introducing them to alumni and how the undergraduate curriculum helped them in preparing for competitive exams like GATE and MS. The speaker was Mr. Laijng Korush, An alumnus from the Civil Engineering department currently perusing M-Tech at IIT Madras.

The session commenced with the introduction of an alumni. Mr. Laijng Korush discussed the advantages of pursuing M.Tech, including advanced knowledge in specific areas like Structural Engineering, Transportation Engineering and Environmental Engineering, also he discussed how it opens doors to specialized job roles and research opportunities. He gave tips on preparing for entrance exams like GATE and MS, balancing final-year projects with exam preparation, selecting the right specialization were shared. Students asked questions about managing time for extracurricular activities while maintaining academic excellence, choosing between job opportunities and pursuing M.Tech after graduation.
