The Ashwa Riders

Baja SAE India 2025 season of BSXll.
Day 1: Inauguration & Technical Inspection (TI)
On the first day, our vehicle was part of the inauguration ceremony, as Hon Mr. Nitin Gadkari was present. Our college was the only team representing Nagpur. The inauguration concluded around 2–3 pm, and within half an hour, our vehicle entered the Technical Inspection (TI) bay. By the end of the day, we had nearly cleared first attempt of TI, with 11 points remaining for the next day.
Day 2: Hot Pit & Technical Issues
On the second day, the team worked on the remaining tasks in the hot pit, which also included welding which was a time-consuming process. Meanwhile, we also encountered wiring issues with the linear actuator, delaying our progress. By 3 pm the team went for 4WD check where the TI inspector addressed another issue regarding clearance of engine and the splash shield, both of these were resolved by 7pm and were approved by the TI inspector and then a new issue was addressed with the gusset, the solution to which was that a new member was to be welded. This was partially completed by the end of the day.
Day 3: Final TI Clearance & Brake Test
By noon, we successfully cleared Technical Inspection (TI) and proceeded to the weight check. After that, we attempted the brake test, but faced persistent issues in the brake assembly. Despite trying multiple recommended solutions, the issue remained unresolved by the end of the day.
Day 4: Endurance & Mechanical Failures
On the final day of the event, we finally cleared the brake test in our 14th attempt, just an hour before endurance began. By 9 AM, our vehicle was lined up for the endurance race.
However, within the first half-hour, we faced a failure in the cross bearing of the axle. We replaced the cross, but unfortunately, the same failure occurred three times throughout the endurance run. Each time, replacing the cross took a significant amount of time. Due to these issues, our vehicle was able to complete only 8 laps in the endurance event.
