Guest Lecture by the Alumni Cell, Department of Mechanical Engineering

The Alumni Cell, Department of Mechanical Engineering, organized a guest lecture on March 11, 2025 for third-year students. The session was led by Ms. Amruta Tarankanthiwar, an alumnus from the batch of 2021 and currently a Business Intelligence Specialist at ABB.

Ms. Amruta shared her career journey, starting with her experiences as a fresh graduate at Triveni Turbines Ltd. (TTL), discussing her work assignments, expectations, and evaluations. She provided valuable insights on core sector expectations from new graduates and shared interview tips focused on aptitude and technical rounds.

She also emphasized the importance of building soft skills, confidence, and personality development, encouraging students to be proactive and develop their technical knowledge with seriousness. Ms. Amruta also highlighted her transition from TTL to ABB, outlining challenges and learnings.

The session was coordinated by Dr. Mohammad Saifullah Khan, Faculty Coordinator, and aimed to prepare students for future career opportunities by focusing on aptitude development, soft skills, and fundamental engineering knowledge.
