NSS Unit of SVPCET Organizes Relief Project in Adopted Villages

The NSS Unit, SVPCET, in collaboration with Pallotti Bread, a social initiative by the Nagpur Pallottine Society, launched a Relief Project to support families in its adopted villages: Dhuti (Dongargaon), Gavsi Manapur, Panjri (Lodhi), and Parsodi.

As part of the project, 50 underprivileged families were identified and provided with ration packs containing food grains, pulses, spices, and cooking oil. The distribution took place on November 28, 2024, at the college premises, with dignitaries including Director Fr. Paul Chandrankunnel, Principal Dr. Vijay Wadhai, and Financial Administrator Fr. Siju Jose attending the event.

The project, coordinated with the Gram Panchayats of the villages, was funded by Pallotti Bread and targeted BPL and marginalized families, particularly those without ration cards.

The initiative’s success was due to the efforts of Dr. Ashlesha Nagpure (NSS Program Officer), Dr. Priti Golar (NSS Department Coordinator), Prof. Pramod Bhagat, Ms. Riddhi Doshi, Ms. Isha Suri, and non-teaching staff members, including Mr. Sunil Waghmare, Mr. Sachin Wadaskar, Mr. Ganesh Hiwase, Mr. Subhash Khotekar, Mr. Nandkishor Vaidya, Mr. Nilesh, Mr. Sanket Patil, and Mr. Tokno.
