The NSS Unit, SVPCET organized a Constitution Preamble recital program on November 26, 2024, to mark Samvidhan Divas (Constitution Day). The event was held in the ES&H (First Year) Department and saw enthusiastic participation from both students and staff.

Constitution Day, also known as Samvidhan Divas, is celebrated in India to commemorate the adoption of the Constitution of India and to honor Dr. B. R. Ambedkar, the principal architect of the Indian Constitution. This day holds historical significance as it marks the adoption of the Constitution by the Constituent Assembly of India on November 26, 1949. The Constitution officially came into effect on January 26, 1950. The Government of India declared November 26 as Constitution Day on November 19, 2015, through a gazette notification.

During the program, the preamble of the Constitution was collectively read aloud by all staff and students present, emphasizing the values and principles enshrined in the Constitution. The event was thoughtfully organized under the guidance of Dr. Ashelsha Nagpure and Prof. Atish Gour, with Dr. Suchita Nimbalkar, Prof. Bhagyashree Hambarde, Prof. Aishwarya Verma, and Prof. Ram also contributing to the program.

This initiative not only highlighted the importance of the Constitution but also instilled a sense of patriotism and respect for democratic values among the participants.
