EV Edge is a Technical Workshop which is conducted under SAE INDIA Collegiate Club on 5^th of October 2024 under the banner of Mechmerize 2024. The Workshop was conducted by members of Team E-Formula Ashwariders, who design and build a life-size  Formula Student vehicle for various competitions. The workshop saw an attendance of 25 members, out of which 2 winners were selected on the basis of a quiz conducted at the end of event. The workshop was conducted successfully with participants gaining knowledge at the end of it. The topics covered are given below. 

1) Overview of Electric vehicles – An overview of electric vehicles was given showing    its architecture and functioning, describing types of different electric vehicles.

2) Powertrain Sizing Calculations – Hand calculations for the Powertrain sizing was        given to the students showing them how to correctly size an EV.

3) Component selection – After calculating the force required to run the vehicle, a brief was given on how to correctly select components for an EV and the role they play.

4) Manufacturing an EV – The entire manufacturing process was described to them, showing how important it is to manufacture it correctly and how the hazards can be decreased.

5) Testing and Validation – Different Testing and Validation processes were explained to them emphasizing the importance of testing an EV.
