Department of Civil Engineering had organize an Expert Session on “Building Information Modelling” for B-Tech 7 semester students of Civil Engineering Department by Mr. Pravin Jadhav, Founder RPJ Design & BIM Solution on September 27, 2024. The lecture aimed to familiarize students with the fundamentals, applications and growing importance of BIM in the construction industry. BIM is a cutting-edge technology that integrates design, construction, and management processes, making it essential for future civil engineers.

Mr. Pravin Jadhav is a seasoned professional with extensive experience of 9 years in BIM applications across various construction projects, from residential to large-scale infrastructure. He introduce students to the concept of BIM and its importance in civil engineering. Demonstrate how BIM can improve collaboration, visualization, and efficiency in construction projects. The speaker presented several real-life projects where BIM was effectively implemented, demonstrating its impact on reducing errors, improving efficiency, and enhancing project outcomes. BIM application in a large infrastructure project such as a bridge or a metro system, showing how the technology helped in collaborative planning and scheduling also use in sustainable building design, emphasizing energy modeling and environmental impact.
