Installation Ceremony of Sthaapatya--The Association of Civil Engineering Students

The Civil Engineering Department successfully inaugurated Sthaapatya-The Association of Civil Engineering Students on August 29, 2024. This event marked the start of a new chapter in student leadership, empowering the elected students to represent their peers and oversee departmental activities for the academic year 2024-25.

The program began with a warm welcome to the chief guest, Er. Babamrao Turkane, Junior Engineer at Pench Irrigation Project, followed by an introduction to Sthaapatya and the ceremonial lighting of the lamp by the dignitaries and forum representatives.

Dr. Abhay G. Hirekhan, Incharge of Civil Engineering, emphasized the importance of leadership in his welcome address and highlighted how the newly formed executive body will serve as a vital link between students and faculty.

Prof. Yogesh S. Lanjewar, Faculty Coordinator of Sthaapatya, introduced the chief guest, Er. Babamrao Turkane. Er. Turkane then delivered an inspiring speech on learning, starting a career in civil engineering, teamwork, and ethical practices, motivating students to embrace their responsibilities and strive for excellence.

Dr. Chetan S. Deshpande discussed the significance of student leadership in personal and professional growth, congratulated the new executive body, and encouraged their active contribution to the department's development.

The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Ms. Revati Dabli, President of Sthaapatya.
