The Department of Mechanical Engineering organized a one-day visit on August 17, 2024, for 5th-semester students to Jagdamba Hydropneumatics Pvt. Ltd., Butibori, Nagpur. The visit focused on exploring the manufacturing of hydraulic and pneumatic components, such as hydraulic presses, power packs, and hydraulic cylinders. A total of 28 students and three faculty members gained an enriching experience.

Jagdamba Hydropneumatics Inc. specializes in manufacturing and servicing hydraulic and pneumatic systems, including cylinders, power packs, manifold blocks, presses, accessories, special-purpose machines, and consultancy. They operate a state-of-the-art facility at MIDC, Butibori, Nagpur.

The visit was carried out under the guidance of Mr, Alok Pahune Director, who explained the different processes and machines involved in the manufacturing of hydraulic and pneumatic components and systems. They also observed the operation of a 450-ton capacity hydraulic press and received an introduction to hydraulic components and circuits. The visit was coordinated by Dr. Vimal Chand Sontake and Dr. B.S. Bhaskar.
