The Department of Mechanical Engineering organized a visit to Sanghvi Industries, Butibori, Nagpur on 17th August 2024 (Saturday) for the 5^th Semester students. The visit was intended to explore the fabrication process of cement manufacturing plant components like screw conveyors, pollution control systems in cement plant, bag and gas filters.  The visit provided a total of 28 students and three faculty members an exposure leading to enriching and invaluable experience.

Sanghvi Industries offers complete solution and is in business of manufacturing & servicing of cement manufacturing plant systems and assemblies. They have a state of art manufacturing facility at MIDC, Butibori, Nagpur.

The visit in the industry was carried out under the guidance of Mr. Manish Sanghvi, proprietor, who explained the different processes and machines involved in the fabrication of cement manufacturing plant components and systems. He also enlightened students about the future prospects in mechanical engineering .

Students were able to see the working of 25ft, 20ft, 10ft, 6ft lathe machines, pillar drilling machine, shaper machine, milling machine, various types of welding  machines.  The visit was coordinated by  Dr. Brijendra Singh Bhaskar and Dr. Vimal Chand Sontake.
