SVPCET organized a fire extinguisher usage demonstration on August 16^th 2024, to enhance fire safety awareness among the campus community. The session included an overview of different fire extinguishers, their uses, and color codes, followed by a hands-on demonstration using a controlled fire setup. Participants practiced the PASS technique—pulling the safety pin, aiming at the base of the fire, squeezing the handle, and sweeping the nozzle from side to side.

The demonstration also covered emergency evacuation routes and assembly points.

Mr. Kishore Bonde from Anjani Enterprises conducted the demonstration, offering detailed insights into fire extinguisher use. The event was coordinated by Dr. Ashlesha Nagpure, NSS Program Officer, with support from Prof. Yogesh Lanjewar, NSS Faculty Coordinator CVL, and Sunil Waghmare, Store Incharge.
