Exhibition and Sale of Rakhi

National Service Scheme (NSS) Cell of St. Vincent Pallotti College of Engineering & Technology, Nagpur in association with Sandnya  Sanwardhan Santha, a non-profit organization dedicated to empowering individuals with developmental disabilities, organized a heartwarming and inspiring Rakhi Exhibition and Sale on August 14, 2024 in between academic block A and B.

This event featured beautiful and creatively designed Rakhis, meticulously crafted by children and adults with Autism and Down syndrome. The exhibition served not only as a celebration of Raksha Bandhan but also as a platform to showcase the talents and abilities of the individuals associated with Sandnya Sanwardhan Santha. The primary objective was to provide a platform for individuals with Autism and Down syndrome to express their creativity, boost their self-esteem, and promote social inclusion. The event also aimed to raise awareness about the capabilities of individuals with developmental disabilities and to encourage the community to support their artistic endeavors.

The exhibition featured a wide array of Rakhis, each uniquely designed. From traditional to contemporary styles, the Rakhis showcased a blend of creativity, cultural heritage, and modern design elements. The students showed overwhelming support for the cause, with many students and staff members purchased Rakhis and expressed admiration for the work.

The Rakhi Exhibition and Sale organized was a resounding success, highlighting the talents and abilities of children. It served as a powerful reminder of the importance of inclusivity, empathy, and support for individuals with developmental disabilities.
