St. Vincent Pallotti College of Engineering & Technology organized a one-day workshop on 'Cultivating Human Excellence-2.0' on May 3rd, 2024. The workshop aimed at enhancing teachers' innovative abilities to integrate technology into teaching methods for sustainable development goals. Fr. Dr. Paul Chandrankunnel, Director, discussed human values and sustainable development goals.
Fr. Joseph Koovely, Principal of St. Vincent Pallotti School, Besa was the Chief Guest, He inaugurated the workshop and emphasized the importance of finding joy in work over relying solely on intelligence or effort. Dr. Yogesh Deshpande, Professor at VNIT, Nagpur, delivered the keynote address on 'Decoding the dynamics from Dronacharya to Drone Technology', offering a new perspective on cultivating human excellence.
A panel discussion, moderated by Principal Dr. S. V. Gole, focused on implementing and auditing sustainable development goals in the curriculum. The panelists included Mrs. Neeru Kapai, Director Modern School Nagpur, Mrs. Bharti Bijwe, Principal Sandipani School, Mrs. Mukta Chatterjee, Educational Consultant, Dr. Mrunalini Dasture, Principal South Public School, Nagpur & Mrs Reena Dargan, Head of Operations, Priyadarshini Group of Schools, who discussed integrating sustainable development goals into the education system.
The workshop saw 196 participants in person and 64 online from 38 schools across Nagpur division, indicating a strong interest in the topic. Prof. Abhranil Banerjee was the Convener and Prof. Madhura Kulkarni was the Co-convenor of the one day Workshop.
