FDP on “Awareness on AI & DS: AI based Tools and Techniques for OBE”

The department of Information Technology and Artificial Intelligence have jointly planned a Faculty Development Program (FDP) on "Awareness on AI & DS: AI-based Tools and Techniques for OBE" in two parts. Part-I was successfully conducted from March 18th to March 21st, 2024, whereas Part-II is planned in the month of May.

The Faculty Development Program was aimed at equipping educators in advanced skills and knowledge of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and its applications in education and research. A total of 150 members participated in the workshop from various departments.

Mr. Pranav Chavhan, Head of Visualization of Things at TCS, Nagpur, delivered an insightful session on low-code, no-code AI tools on Day 1.

Mr. Shishant Mahato, Corporate Trainer at Skillopedia Pvt. Ltd, Mumbai, conducted a comprehensive session introducing Generative AI and ChatGpt on Day 2 and Day 3.

Dr. Nilesh Kumbhar, Research Associate at IIT Indore, led a session on utilizing AI for writing effective research papers using AI tools on Day 4.

Through expert-led sessions and hands-on workshops, participants explored various AI tools and techniques to enhance teaching, research, and content creation. Experts focused on hands-on sessions on the preparation of lesson plans, timetables, lab manuals, question papers, PowerPoint presentations, and utilizing AI for writing effective research papers. Topics covered included writing sections of a research paper using AI tools, avoiding plagiarism, and enhancing research quality with AI-driven techniques.

The event was coordinated by Dr. Manoj Bramhe, HoD IT & III coordinator, and Prof. Vikas Bhowate, Incharge AI department, with gratitude to the management for their continuous support.
