“SAEINDIA COLLEGIATE CLUB” of Mechanical Engineering department conducted webinar on “Future Scope for Mechanical Engineer's in Core Industries Amidst Covid-19 As Per Industry 4.0”. Dr. P.B. Lanjewar. HOD, M.E. dept. in his inaugural remarks, emphasized on the need to know  and acquire mastery over practical skills to survive in the post COVID-19 situations. Mr. Vijay Bhambri, Director, Kritika Technical Academy, Nagpur was the resource person for the webinar. In  the webinar, Er. Bhambri has discussed the requirements of core industry post COVID-19 situation and also new job opportunities available for mechanical engineering graduates. He elaborated the new job opportunities borne in the field of COVID -19 fighting related industries such as rapid and mass development of screen guard attachments, handle to push door openings and sanitizer dispensing non-contact attachments. He also discussed the job avenues in 3D printing, casting, Quality Control, GD & T and power tools used in the industry. He motivated the students to do internships to get practical knowledge of the area of their interest and to know the functioning of an industry and its culture.  Different skills required to get job and excel in it, was the central theme of the discussion.  To meet the requirements of Industry 4.0 , what is the change in the mindset of a mechanical engineer and preparations are required ,these concerns are well addressed through the webinar.
