The Department of Civil Engineering had organised a field visit to Gorewada Water Treatment Plant, Nagpur (capacity of 136 MLD) on 01/12/2023 as a part of curriculum for the course of Environmental Engineering. 61 students of B. Tech. III semester attended the visit. Ms. Pranoti, expert at the treatment plant detailed out the structure and working of the water treatment plant. The students witnessed the functioning of the various treatments such as aeration, multi-flow, coagulation, sedimentation, filtration, and disinfection at the plant.

The experts appreciated the enthusiasm in the students. Prof. Akash A. Kaley, Prof. Udaysingh Patil and Prof. Ms. Bhageshree Chelani expressed the sense of gratitude towards the efforts taken by the experts for the students.
