The Department of Civil Engineering had organised a field visit to Bhandewadi Sewage Treatment Plant, Nagpur (capacity of 200 MLD) on 01/12/2023 as a part of curriculum for the course of Environmental Engineering. 61 students of B. Tech. III semester attended the visit. Mr. Pramod Malshiraskar, expert at the treatment plant detailed out the structure and working of the sewage treatment plant. The students witnessed the functioning of the various treatments such as Screen Chamber, Sequential Batch Reactors, Floating Disc Filters and disinfection at the plant.

The experts appreciated the enthusiasm in the students. Prof. Akash A. Kaley, Prof. Udaysingh Patil and Prof. Ms. Bhageshree Chelani expressed the sense of gratitude towards the efforts taken by the experts for the students.
