Alumna Interaction
The Department of Computer Engineering, had organized an Online Alumni Interaction for the current Final Year students on 23rd of July, 2020. Invited to the session was Ms. Antara Chaterjee, an alumna of batch 2016. Ms. Antara shared several anecdotes of her student days in the college and the experience she gained working in the Industry. She completed her MBA in the field of Marketing and Human Resource from IMT Nagpur, after the completion of her Engineering; this gave her the opportunity of working in the Management sector. She is currently working with Hexaware Technologies, Nagpur, as an HR Business Partner.
She shared from her experience the advantages and the need of doing a Master’s in Business Administration post Engineering. Ms. Antara further explained how the Corporate field requires highly intellectual and eminent individuals who are capable of easily adapting to the changes happening around them, in a way they need to be dynamic and have that quick learning and unlearning capacity. Such individuals, having both Technical and Managerial Knowledge would excel in any field and would become an asset to the Company that they work in. She also insisted that students be more aware and have basic knowledge about every field.
Students cleared their doubts regarding MBA and its areas of specialization. They raised their queries about the current scenario of corporate intake and managerial studies after Engineering. She urged students to be well aware of the Covid-19 scenario and take time out to enrich oneself with rich knowledge. Her session was very encouraging and also helped students planning for higher studies.
Ms. Antara concluded saying that, there is no shortage of jobs or career options, but there is a need of an Expert Professional. If a student masters a domain, has good practical knowledge and communication skills, along with convincing power, then nothing can stop him/her from progressing in life.
This session was carried out under the guidance of Prof. Sunil Wanjari (AASC Club Coordinator) and Prof. Komal Jaisinghani (Alumni Connect Coordinator).
