World Water Day

World Water Day is an annual United Nations (UN) observance day held on 22 March that highlights the importance of fresh water. The day is used to advocate for the sustainable management of freshwater resources, with yearly theme based on aspects and approaches to WASH - water, sanitation and hygiene, which is in line with the targets of Sustainable Development Goal 6.

Hence, to create awareness the NSS unit of our College observed “World Water Day”. On 23rd March the NSS volunteers along with Faculty Coordinators were shown a Documentary Film “The Last Drop” followed by an activity of making a Water Diary. A Google Form link was circulated to obtain ideas from students to conserve water in the Campus. The students were also given e-Certificates for actively participating in the Activity.

Dr. A.Nagpure NSS Program Officer and Prof .T.. Naidu jointly collaborated towards the successful conduction of this program.
