Informative Seminar on “Strategy for precise preparations for Competitive Examinations”

The Department of Basic Sciences & Humanities had organized an Informative Seminar on “Strategy for precise preparations for Competitive Examinations” for Semester II students of B.Tech First Year 2021-22 batch. The seminar was conducted on 20 August 2022 between 2 – 4 p.m.

In-House faculty, Prof. Ram Kinhikar, Assistant Professor, Department of Civil Engineering, S.V.P.C.E.T, Nagpur was invited to conduct this informative session. Sir, has 28 years of teaching experience and being cleared UPSC Civil Services (Prelims) himself in 1994, he guides students for various Civil services examinations.  He is a blogger, writer and content creator for Youtube too.

He explained to the students about structure of various competitive exams. The main focus was on preparations of Civil Services exams such as IAS, IPS, IRS etc. & other Engineering Services examinations. The complete information about eligibilty criterion, no. of attempts, age limit, exam pattern and duration, subjects to be opted, time & place habit explaining Popolov’s experiment, rigorous study schedule, fast reading habits, having patience in preparation & facing the exam was discussed. Illustrations were given by citing different examples of many successful aspirants who cracked exam in one or many attempts. The Seminar concluded with vote of thanks followed by National Anthem.

The program was mentored by Dr. Fr. Paul Chandrankunnel, Director; Dr. S. V. Gole, Principal; Prof. R. B. Gowardhan, Institute Mentor and was guided by Mrs. Namrata Gore, First Year I/C, Dr. Ashish Bodhaye, Departmental Extra & Co Curricular Activity Coordinator. Faculty members Mr. Indrajeet Varhadpande & Ms. Ayesha Naaz Khan worked hard for the success of the program.
