The Department of Basic Sciences & Humanities had organized a motivational session “WE CAN” for Semester II students on 27 June 2022, from 2 – 4 p.m.

Commander V. K. Jaitly, Retd. Naval Commander Indian Navy & well-known motivational speaker was invited as the guest speaker. Sir, is Ex - President of IIT Kharagpur Alumni Foundation, a National coordinator of Youth4 Nation, a speaker, a consultant, a coach, an author, a mentor and an invited specialist on National TV channels with 40+ years of Experience.

Commander V. K. Jaitly, spoke on goal setting, attitude change and importance of communication to become successful in life. He further referred to successful & eminent personalities around the globe who have dreamt big in life and achieved their targets by setting realistic & achievable goals. He insisted students to dream big yet set SMART GOALS (Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant & Time – bound).

According to him, the Mantra for Success lies in the following C’s: Communication, Confidence, Collaboration and Consistency, and every individual should continually work towards improving these C’s for growth in life. He urged students to be an Aimer and not a blamer and also to constantly keep learning, unlearning & relearning. He recapitulated “WE CAN as I CAN” and all the students reiterated “I CAN” in synergy at the end of the session. The session ended with The National Anthem.

The program was mentored by Dr. Fr. Paul Chandrankunnel, Director; Dr. S. V. Gole, Principal; Prof. R. B. Gowardhan, Institute Mentor and guided by Mrs. Namrata Gore, First Year I/C, Dr. Ashish Bodhaye, Departmental Extra & Co Curricular Activity Coordinator. Faculty members Mr. Indrajeet Varhadpande & Dr. Kiran Khandarkar worked hard for the success of the program.
