INDUSTRIAL VISIT TO DINSHAW’S ICECREAM FACTORY

The Department of Computer Engineering  had organized a one day Industrial Visit to "Dinshaw’s Ice Cream Factory”, Butibori, Nagpur under III- Cell. In all 48 students from section A Third  year, visited the factory along-with Prof. R.C. Roychaudhary, III Cell Coordinator and Dr. K.O. Gupta, Assistant Professor, CE on 7th April 2022.

The visit started with a tour to the factory’s Ice cream Production Unit, Packaging Unit &  Cold storage room. The tour was headed & guided by Mr. Ramamurty, Head HR personnel.

The students witnessed production of different varieties and flavours of ice-creams in the Production Unit where the temperature is set as -14 degree. Approximately 2 lakh ice-creams are produced in a day which further move to the Packaging Unit. The ice-creams are then counted and packed in boxes and further stored at the Cold Storage Unit. During the tour, The HR personnel discussed with the students the need of IT professionals in production units for innovation  and better management.

After the tour, ice-cream was distributed to all the students and faculty members. Students enjoyed the experience of visiting an ice-cream production unit and also realized how IT related solutions can be applied into any organization to increase efficiency and productivity.
