An  AICTE sponsored, one week STTP was organized by the Department of Electrical Engineering, SVPCET from 13^th - 18^th  December 2021. The theme of the STTP was  “Renewable Energy Sources”. 

The inaugural program was conducted on 13^th December, 2021. Dr. Mohan Khedkar, Professor, EEE, Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology, was the chief guest., and in his inaugural speech he highlighted the   significance of Renewable Energy Sources and its potential.   Dr. Fr. Paul Chandrankunnel, Director, SVPCET, delivered the opening address.   Dr. N. K. Dhote,  Head, Electrical Engineering and Convenor,   outlined the objectives behind organizing this STTP.

Kulkarni, Department of Electrical  Engineering, VNIT, Nagpur, Dr. Nitin Labhsetwar, Chief Scientist and Head, Energy and Resource Management Division , CSIR NEERI, Dr. Rajendra Ugwekar, Department of Chemical Engineering, LIT, Nagpur, Dr. Dattaji K. Shinde, Associate Deptt. Of Production Enginering, VJTI Mumbai, Dr. Shiva Nand Singh, Deptt. of ECE, NIT Jamshedpur, Jharkhand and Dr. Sushant Satputaley, Department of Mechanical Engineering, SVPCET, Nagpur, Dr. Anil Onkar, Addl. Executive Engineer(Retired), Koradi Training Center, MAHAGENCO, Mr. Naval Damle, Assistant Engineer MAHAGENCO, Chandrapur Super Thermal Power Plant (CSTPS) were invited as Resource Persons at the STTP. 

A visit to Energy and Resource Management Division Laboratory, NEERI, Nagpur  was organized and the participants were explained about Research and Development activities undertaken and products designed for cleaner energy generation. 

Mr. Kuldeep Bahadure, Assistant Engineer, MAHAGENCO, Chandrapur Super Thermal Power Plant (CSTPS) delivered his lecture on  “5 MWp Grid Interactive Solar PV Power Plant CSTPS Premises, Chandrapur, Maharashtra” followed by a field Visit to 5 MWp Grid Interactive Solar PV Power Plant.     

A Valedictory function was held on 18^th December, 2021. The Chief Guest of the program Colonel. B. Venkat, Director, Faculty Development Cell,  AICTE, New Delhi appreciated the efforts of the college for organizing an STTP on “Renewable Energy Sources” in a Multi Disciplinary manner.

Dr. N. K. Dhote, Convenor of the STTP, Mr D. C. Khadse and Dr. D. S. Wankhede, coordinators from Department of Electrical Engineering, worked hard for the smooth conduction and success of the STTP.
