Orientation Program of V Semester EE

Department of Electrical Engineering had recently organized an online orientation program on 18th September 2021 at 10:00 am for its fifth semester students. The objectives of this program was to make students aware about Project Policy, incentives for Paper publication, patents and participation in events, Outcome Based Education (OBE), benefits of NBA, NAAC accreditation and career guidance. Dr. N. K. Dhote, Head of Department, highlighted the achievements & major activities of Department in academic session 2020-21. Dr. (Mrs.) J. P. Rothe explained OBE and benefits of NBA & NAAC to Institute. Departmental Project coordinator Prof. N. P. Mendhe, explained different processes involved in project and importance of projects in student’s career. He encouraged students to choose industry oriented projects, linked with their industry internships, to gain practical experience and thorough knowledge. The major achievements by alumni at various technical events were also highlighted.

The Project Orientation session followed by “Know Your Guide” session, where Project Guides introduced themselves to students and shared their Research area and achievements. The next Session was Alumni interaction with Mr. Murli Ghode (2018 batch), currently pursuing MBA, who delivered a seminar on “Carrier Opportunities in Electrical Engineering”.

A session on Soft Skill Development was conducted by Prof. S. V. Banode, wherein students were made aware of inner strength and positive thinking. Prof. S. P. Nagmote delivered a lecture on Personality Development. In the last session, Prof. G. S. Gadge delivered lecture on IE(I) student chapter benefits and activities. The program was coordinated by Prof. N. P. Mendhe and Prof. D. C. Khadse.
