The Department of Information Technology, Department of IIOT and Department of ETC, at St. Vincent Pallotti College of Engineering & Technology, Nagpur, in association Electronics & ICT Academy, IIT Guhwati organized a five-day online Faculty Development Programme (FDP) titled “AI for Everything (AIX): Exploring the Frontiers of Emerging Technologies” from 12th to 16th October 2026.

The programme aimed to enhance participants’ understanding of emerging Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies, their applications across various domains, and their growing significance in engineering, research, healthcare, cybersecurity, and smart infrastructure.

The FDP featured expert sessions delivered by eminent academicians and industry experts from reputed institutions, including IIT Guwahati, IIT Kharagpur, IIT Indore, NIT Kurukshetra, NIT Delhi, IIIT Hyderabad, and IIST Thiruvananthapuram. The sessions provided a platform valuable insight into emerging AI technologies and their applications in teaching, learning, research, and interdisciplinary engineering. A total of 46 participants attended the programme, including 21 participants from SVPCET, Nagpur, and participants from other reputed institutions, including Ramdeobaba University, JSS University, Symbiosis University, PCE, and SBJCOE. The participation of faculty members from multiple institutions fostered knowledge sharing, academic interaction, and collaboration in the rapidly evolving field of Artificial Intelligence.

The initiative reflects the commitment of St. Vincent Pallotti College of Engineering & Technology, Nagpur, and the Electronics & ICT Academy, IIT Guwahati, towards promoting faculty development, technology awareness, and continuous professional learning in emerging areas of Artificial Intelligence.
