Hands-on Training Program on Java Programming with Data Structures & Algorithms (DSA)
The FUSION IIoT Forum, under the Department of Industrial IoT, organized a “Hands-on Training Program on Java Programming with Data Structures & Algorithms (DSA)” from 07th to 9th September 2026, between 09:00 a.m. and 04:15 p.m., in BF-12 Classroom for the 7th Semester students of the Industrial IoT. The program aimed to strengthen students’ programming proficiency, logical thinking, problem-solving abilities, and practical implementation skills while introducing them to enterprise IT and big-data platforms through conceptual and hands-on sessions.
The resource persons for the training were Mr. Manthan Borkar, Mr. Kaushik Morya, and Mr. Bhavesh Bhorikar from SS Infotech, an IT Research and Product Development Firm, Nagpur. They shared their industry expertise through sessions covering Java and OOP proficiency, DSA fundamentals and complexity analysis, ServiceNow (ITSM/ITOM), Databricks and Apache Spark, applied coding and problem-solving, debugging and implementation practices, enterprise workflows, and basic exposure to analytics, notebooks, clusters, and data/ML pipelines. Interactive coding exercises and practical demonstrations helped students connect theoretical concepts with real-world applications.
The training program commenced with a warm welcome by the Head of Department, Dr. M. Shriraghavan. Over the three days, students gained valuable practical exposure through a structured progression from Java and DSA foundations to enterprise tools and applied implementation. The combination of conceptual discussions and hands-on activities enhanced their understanding of programming, algorithmic thinking, IT service processes, and modern data platforms, providing a useful foundation for future academic projects and technical work.
The program was successfully organized by Dr. Amol W. Pardhi and Mr. Rohan Vaidya. The event concluded with a vote of thanks and the presentation of mementos to the resource persons as a token of appreciation for their valuable contributions.
