Alumnus Interaction on GATE & PSU Examination Preparation
The Department of Electrical Engineering organized an Alumnus Interaction and Career Guidance Session for the students of the 5th and 7th semesters on 7th September 2026. The session focused on guiding students towards competitive examinations, higher studies, and career opportunities in Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs).
The interaction was conducted by Mr. Piyush Kadukar (Batch 2015 Electrical Engineering Alumnus), CEO & Founder of Electrical Engineering Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs). He shared valuable insights and practical strategies for preparing for the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) and various PSU and government technical examinations.
Mr. Piyush emphasized the importance of developing strong fundamentals in core Electrical Engineering subjects, regular practice of multiple-choice questions, solving previous-year examination papers, and taking mock tests.
The students were guided on effective study planning, time management, identification of important topics, preparation of short revision notes, analysis of mistakes, and improving speed and accuracy through continuous practice. The resource person also highlighted the importance of staying updated about PSU recruitment notifications, eligibility criteria, examination patterns, and selection processes.
The session was highly interactive, with students actively participating and seeking guidance on GATE preparation, subject selection, study resources, previous-year questions, mock tests, PSU opportunities, and balancing academic studies with competitive examination preparation.
The interaction enhanced students' awareness and motivation towards GATE, PSU, and other technical competitive examinations and encouraged them to adopt a systematic and disciplined approach to preparation. The Department appreciates the valuable contribution of Mr. Piyush in mentoring and motivating the students and looks forward to continued alumni engagement for the professional and career development of Electrical Engineering students.
