The Department of Electrical Engineering, St. Vincent Pallotti College of Engineering & Technology, organized an insightful Expert Lecture on “Electrical Equipment & Practical Troubleshooting” for the students of V and VII Semester B.Tech. Electrical Engineering on 8 September 2026 at 11:15 a.m. The session was delivered by Mr. Chiranjeet M. Sarkar, Assistant Engineer, Electrical Maintenance-1, Khaperkheda Thermal Power Station, who brought valuable industry experience and practical insights into the operation, maintenance and troubleshooting of electrical equipment.

The expert lecture was attended by 82 students from the V and VII semesters. The session focused on bridging the gap between theoretical knowledge acquired in the classroom and its practical application in industrial electrical systems. During the lecture, Mr. Sarkar discussed various aspects of electrical equipment, their operating parameters, common faults, fault identification techniques and systematic troubleshooting procedures.

The expert also shared practical experiences from thermal power station operations and electrical maintenance, providing students with an insight into real-world challenges encountered in industrial electrical systems. Interactive discussions and practical examples made the session engaging and helped students understand how engineering principles are applied while diagnosing and resolving electrical equipment problems.

The expert session was coordinated by Mrs. Shradha Banode under the guidance of Dr. Mrs. J. P. Rothe, HOD, EED. The session proved to be a meaningful industry–academia interaction and provided students with valuable practical exposure relevant to their academic and professional development.
