The Department of Industrial IoT, St. Vincent Pallotti College of Engineering & Technology, Nagpur, organized the inauguration of the FUSION IIoT Forum on Saturday, 05 September 2026, from 11:30 a.m. onwards, as part of a well-structured installation ceremony. The Forum was launched with the theme “Connect • Innovate • Transform” and the vision of “Ideas, Devices, People – A Smarter Tomorrow,” aiming to bridge the gap between classroom learning and real-world industrial applications in the field of the Industrial Internet of Things.

The ceremony was graced by the presence of Dr. Fr. Paul Chandrankunnel SAC and the chief guest, Dr. Tapan Kumar Jain, along with Dr. M. Shriraghavan, Head of the Department of Industrial IoT, Dr. Amol Pardhi, Faculty Coordinator of the FUSION IIoT Forum, and all the other faculty members of the Department of Industrial IoT.

The programme opened with the welcome of the chief guest, Dr. Tapan Kumar Jain, by Dr. Fr. Paul Chandrankunnel SAC, who extended a warm welcome to the guest. This was followed by the traditional lamp-lighting ceremony and a scripture reading, setting a dignified tone for the proceedings.

This was followed by the felicitation of the guest, leading into the central highlight of the ceremony—the official Forum installation and introduction of the core team members. The newly installed core members were formally introduced to the gathering, marking the official launch of the FUSION IIoT Forum as the department's student body.

The ceremony continued with an address by Dr. Fr. Paul Chandrankunnel SAC, who shared words of encouragement and wisdom for the Forum and guided the students regarding their professional growth and future careers.

This was followed by an address by the Student Forum President, Mr. Aamod Kaley, who shared the objectives and overall scope of the Forum, along with its upcoming events and expectations.

The proceedings resumed with the guest lecture delivered by Dr. Tapan Kumar Jain, Assistant Professor (ECE) and Faculty Coordinator – Training & Placement Cell, IIIT Nagpur. His session offered students valuable insights into emerging technologies shaping smart and connected industries, aligning closely with the Forum's mission of preparing students for real-world technological challenges.

The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Ms. Vidhi Ukey and Ms. Chaitrali Bele, bringing the programme to a close.
