The Department of Engineering Sciences and Humanities organised a session on “Research Projects, Funding Opportunities and Research Paper Writing” on 28^th August, 2026 from 2:15 p.m. to 4:15 p.m. at the Block B Conference Room.

Dr. Smita Acharya the Resource Person shared valuable insights on research opportunities, DRDO funding schemes, interdisciplinary research and research paper writing. The session covered schemes including ARMREB, LSRB, AR&DB, DIA-CoE and TDF, along with emerging research areas such as AI, technical communication, human factors, management, policy and Humanities and Social Sciences in Defence.

The programme was coordinated by Dr. Shakuntala Yadav under the guidance of Dr. Smita Tolani Head Department of Engineering Sciences and Humanities with the support of the Research and Development Cell, represented by Dr. Minhaz Ahmad, Associate Dean, Research and Development Cell, and Dr. Kapil Gupta, Co-coordinator, Research and Development Cell.

The session provided valuable guidance on identifying research gaps, developing research proposals, exploring funding opportunities and strengthening research publication practices, encouraging faculty members to pursue innovative and interdisciplinary research.
