The Department of Civil Engineering organized the Re-installation Ceremony of the Indian Concrete Institute (ICI) Students’ Chapter and STHĀPATYA – Association of Civil Engineering Students, Students’ Executive Body on 05 August 2026. The program was graced by Er. Pravin P. Deshpande, Chairman, ICI Nagpur Centre; Er. Bhagwat Patil, Secretary, ICI Nagpur Centre; and Dr. Manmohan D.Goel, Past Treasurer and Associate Professor, AMD, VNIT, Nagpur, faculty members; and students, marking a significant occasion in fostering leadership, professionalism, and technical excellence.

The event commenced with a formal welcome of the guest, staff members and students. Er. Pravin  P. Deshpande shared his thoughts about Indian Concrete Institute. He highlighted about the number of ICI Centre and students chapter available, also mentioned about Internship and placement opportunity for the final year students. The re-installed executive members of ICI Students’ Chapter and STHĀPATYA were formally introduced and congratulated for their commitment to contribute towards academic, technical, and extracurricular growth.

A technical session on "Behavior of Materials under different Loads" was delivered by Dr. Manmohan Dass Goel. The session focused on understanding how different construction materials respond to tensile, compressive, shear, and impact loads under varying conditions. He also explained the concepts of stress, strain, elasticity, plasticity, and failure mechanisms through practical examples and engineering applications.

Students from the Second, Third, and Fourth Year of the Civil Engineering Department, along with the faculty members, were present for the inauguration ceremony.

Ms. Sagrika Dahat serves as a master of ceremony. The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Mr. Shivam Diwale, Students’ President, who acknowledged the guidance of faculty advisor, the active participation of students, and the constant support of ICI Nagpur Centre. Prof. Yogesh S. Lanjewar, Faculty Coordinator of the Students’ Executive Body, successfully coordinated the event.
