Value Education Visit to Orphanage

The Department of Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering, as a part of their Value Education course, organized an academic visit to Shri Shraddhanand Anathalay on 20th April 2026 for 4th Semester students. The objective of the visit was to provide experiential learning and help students understand the practical application of human values such as empathy, responsibility, and social contribution. A total of 51 students participated.

During the interaction, students observed the day-to-day functioning of the orphanage and engaged with the children, gaining insights into their needs and challenges. This experience helped them connect classroom concepts like coexistence, mutual happiness, and social harmony with real-life situations.

As part of the initiative, the students collectively contributed and donated essential items, including diapers, craft supplies, and toys worth ₹6000. This act reflected their commitment to applying the principles of value-based education through meaningful action.

The visit proved to be a valuable learning experience, fostering sensitivity, compassion, and a sense of social responsibility among the students. It reinforced the importance of contributing positively to society and successfully bridged theoretical knowledge with practical understanding, leaving a lasting impact on all participants. The visit was planned and executed by Prof. Vrushali Pethe, accompanied by Prof. Aishwarya Verma, who guided them throughout the visit.
