Industrial Visit to Visakhapatnam

The Computer Science Engineering Department successfully organized a 4-day industrial visit to Visakhapatnam from 29th March to 1st April 2026. A total of 53 students from Section A and Section B participated in this educational tour under the guidance of faculty coordinators Dr. Pallavi Wankhede, Dr. Dhiraj Kumar Gupta, and Dr. Ansar Sheikh.

During the visit to Kalpataru Centre of Entrepreneurship (STPI) on 30th March 2026, students were introduced to the ecosystem of Industry 4.0 and startup incubation. They gained insights into support models such as the Open Challenge Program (OCP) and Rolling Model. Students explored advanced laboratories including AI/ML, IIoT, AR/VR, PLC Automation, and Drone & Robotics. A live demonstration of 3D printing (Pratham 6.0) enhanced their understanding of rapid prototyping and modern manufacturing technologies.

On 1st April 2026, students visited Andhra Pradesh MedTech Zone (AMTZ), one of India’s largest medical technology manufacturing clusters. They learned about the application of AI, robotics, and 3D printing in healthcare, along with exposure to medical device manufacturing and advanced facilities.

The industrial visit provided valuable practical exposure beyond classroom learning, helping students understand real-world applications of emerging technologies. It enhanced their knowledge in Industry 4.0, healthcare innovation, and startup ecosystems. The experience also motivated students towards innovation, research, and entrepreneurship, bridging the gap between academic learning and industry practices
