Expert Session on AI in Red Teaming (Penetration Testing)

The Expert Session on AI in Red Teaming (Penetration Testing) was held on 6th February 2026 from 11:15 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. at the BS-13 Auditorium, organized by the Phoenix Cyber Security Forum, Department of Computer Science & Engineering (Cyber Security), St. Vincent Pallotti College of Engineering & Technology, Nagpur (Autonomous).

The session, delivered by Parimal Aglawe, Solution Delivery Lead – Red Team, provided students with deep insights into the evolving field of offensive security, highlighting how Artificial Intelligence (AI) is transforming red team operations, penetration testing workflows, and modern threat intelligence. Key topics covered included AI-driven adversary simulation, evolving attack surfaces, industry expectations from Red Team professionals, and practical career guidance for aspiring penetration testers.

The session witnessed active engagement from 150+ participants, including cyber security students and faculty, who raised insightful questions about real-world attack scenarios, ethical AI use, and career opportunities in red teaming. Participants gained practical understanding of red teaming methodologies, AI-enhanced offensive security practices, and clarity on career paths, enabling them to better apply these concepts in CTF challenges and security assessments.
