Entrepreneurship and Start-up Opportunities for Women: National Start-up Day Celebration
The Department of Engineering, Sciences, and Humanities, SVPCET celebrated National Start-up Day by organizing an event titled “Entrepreneurship and Start-up Opportunities for Women” on January 16, 2025. Approximately 350 first-year female students and 100 female students from higher semesters attended the event, which aimed to inspire and guide young women in their pursuit of entrepreneurial and start-up ventures.
The event featured distinguished speakers, including Dr. Ritu Jain, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of U2U Technologies Pvt. Ltd., Singapore, and Dr. Anita Rao, a highly regarded entrepreneur and public speaker.
Fr. Paul Chandrankunnel, Director, and Dr. Vijay Wadhai, Principal, addressed the gathering, stressing the importance of female participation in entrepreneurship and encouraging students to embrace innovation and pursue their aspirations.
Dr. Jain and Dr. Rao shared their invaluable perspectives and experiences, explaining the challenges and rewards of entrepreneurship. They offered practical advice on developing business strategies, securing financial resources, and building successful ventures.
Dr. Sucheta Moharir, Head of the Department of Engineering, Sciences, and Humanities, recognized the guest speakers for their contributions. Event coordinator, Dr. Smita Tolani thanked all attendees and speakers for their support. The event provided an enriching educational experience, inspiring female B.Tech students to explore entrepreneurship and empowering them to pursue their dreams.
