Infinity 2k24: A Leap into the RoboVerse
Infinity 2k24, the annual flagship event hosted by the Computer Engineering Department in collaboration with the ACM (Association of Computing Machinery) Student Chapter, stood as a remarkable showcase of innovation and technology. With over 500 participants, the event brought together students and faculty in an exciting celebration of futuristic ideas and technical prowess. Held on 5th October ,2024 at the Computer Engineering Department, the event’s theme, RoboVerse, captured the imagination of all who attended, presenting a unique fusion of robotics, artificial intelligence, and engineering marvels.
The event was inaugurated by Principal Dr. Vijay Wadhai, who emphasized the importance of technological advancement in shaping future industries. The Valedictory Ceremony, presided over by Head of Department Dr. Sunil Wanjari, provided an inspiring conclusion to the day, with the dignitaries offering words of encouragement that resonated deeply with participants, motivating them to explore new horizons in their academic and professional journeys.
This year’s Infinity featured six meticulously crafted events, each creatively tied to the RoboVerse theme:
- ValoWarz – A high-energy Valorant gaming tournament that brought competitive spirit to life.
- Decode Derby – A challenging team event focused on algorithms and hardware, engaging participants' logical and problem-solving skills.
- Code Arena – A coding battleground where students competed in debugging and solving technical problems.
- BidCas – A strategic bidding competition, blending coding skills with tactical decision-making.
- Escaping Ciphers – An adventurous maze and cipher-solving challenge, pushing participants' ability to think critically under pressure.
- Cracken – A lighthearted but intense trivia and word game event, testing participants' knowledge of pop culture and language skills.
Infinity 2k24, set in a creative RoboVerse theme, transformed the event into a futuristic robotic universe, blending fun and learning. It showcased the organizing team's hard work, providing a platform for students to connect, compete, and demonstrate their skills, while fostering a sense of community. Positive feedback underscored its success in promoting technical knowledge and collaboration.
