Department of Civil Engineering in association with ICI Students Chapter had organize Expert Session on topic “Role of Civil Engineer at Construction Site” on December 02, 2024 for the students of 4^th Year Civil Engineering Department. The session aimed to provide insights into the critical aspects of Role of Civil Engineer at construction site and modern infrastructure development. The primary objective was to familiarize students with the principles and practices of construction activities, the importance of effective planning and execution in construction projects. The expert was Er. Manoj Kawalkar, President (Elect), Indian Concrete Institute.

Er. Manoj Kawalkar, shared responsibilities of civil engineers across different project phases. He discussed various types of department available at construction site like planning, design, execution, and maintenance. He also provide a comprehensive understanding of the technical, managerial, and collaborative aspects. Further he discuss the significance of ethics, sustainability, innovation in civil engineering and application of new technology like BIM. Session end with a beautiful video song by Mohd. Rafi in Civil Engineering way.

The expert session was highly informative and inspiring for the students. It broadened their understanding of role of civil engineer at construction site and highlighted its significance in shaping modern infrastructure.
