The Department of Civil Engineering had organised a field visit to Bhandewadi Sewage Treatment Plant, Nagpur (Capacity of 200 MLD) on 11/10/2024 as a part of curriculum for the course of Environmental Engineering. 68 students of B. Tech. III semester attended the visit. Er. Anshul, expert at the treatment plant detailed out the structure and working of the sewage treatment plant. The students witnessed the functioning of the various treatments such as Screen Chamber, Sequential Batch Reactors, Floating Disc Filters and disinfection at the plant.

The experts appreciated the enthusiasm in the students. Prof. Akash A. Kaley, Prof. and Prof. Kusum Balani coordinated this visit and expressed the sense of gratitude towards the efforts taken by the experts for the students.
