Industrial visit for Second Yr. CE Students

The Department of Computer Engineering successfully conducted Industrial Visits to Maharashtra Remote Sensing Application Centre (MRSAC) and Regional Remote Sensing Central (RRSC), Nagpur on 7th & 10th October 2024 for Second Year students. The visit aimed to explore internship opportunities and research-based projects.

On 7th October 2024, total 64 students of 3rd Semester (Section B) & 2 faculty members of Computer Engineering visited Maharashtra Remote Sensing Application Centre (MRSAC), Nagpur from 10 AM to 2.00 PM. MRSAC in Nagpur is a scientific institution that uses space technology to monitor and manage the state's natural resources using like Geographic Information System, Drone technology, Satellite indices data etc. MRSAC works on using Python, emerging technologies like AI/ML/IoT. This is a scientific institution dedicated to remote sensing study of various aspects of selected areas, for Mineral occurrence, ground water, land use etc. The students were briefed on the different projects under-taken by MRSAC through the presentation. Thus, Students gained valuable insights and explored the Remote Sensing and Geo-Spatial fields for new project and internship opportunities. The faculty Coordinators for the visit were Prof. Reema Roychaudhary and Prof. Riddhi Doshi.  

On the same day, total 64 students of 3rd Semester (Section A) & 2 faculty members of Computer Engineering visited Regional Remote Sensing Centre (RRSC), is a unit of National Remote Sensing Centre (NRSC)- ISRO and involved in research and development of Geospatial Applications using Remote Sensing, GIS, GPS and ICT technologies for natural resources management and e-Governance initiatives. The Visit was scheduled from 10 AM to 2.00 PM. RRSC is actively involved in developing and implementing deep learning models for remote sensing data analysis. The students were briefed on the different projects under-taken by RRSC through the presentation & exhibition as it is celebrating World Space Day from 4th Oct to 10th Oct 2024.  Thus, Students gained valuable insights and explored the Remote Sensing and Geo-Spatial fields for new project ideas and internship opportunities. The faculty Coordinators for the visit were Prof. Komal Gehani and Dr. Yogesh Golhar.

On 10th October 2024, total 51 students of 3rd Semester (Section B) & 2 faculty members of Computer Engineering visited Regional Remote Sensing Centre (RRSC), is a unit of National Remote Sensing Centre (NRSC)- ISRO. The Visit was scheduled from 1:00 PM to 4.00 PM. The students were briefed on the projects involving various Chandrayan Mission Technologies under-taken by RRSC through the presentation given by Dr. Sourav Gangwar, Research Scientist & then the students were led to exhibition as it is celebrating World Space Day from 4th Oct to 10th Oct 2024. The visit was concluded by attending the closing ceremony function of the World Space week. The faculty coordinators for the visit were Prof. Reema Roychaudhary and Prof. Priti Bhagat.

On the same day, total 58 students of 3rd Semester (Section A) & 2 faculty members of Computer Engineering visited Maharashtra Remote Sensing Application Centre (MRSAC), Nagpur from 1:00 PM to 4.15 PM.  The faculty coordinators for the visit were Dr. Kapil Gupta and Prof. Yogita Nikhare.
