On 1st October 2024, the Mechanical Engineering department organised an industrial visit to Dulocos Conveyor and Moulds in MIDC Hingna, Nagpur, attended by 39 students from the 5th and 7th semesters. The visit aimed to provide practical insights into the manufacturing processes of moulds and conveyor parts. The students toured the manufacturing facility, observing various stages of machining processes. They witnessed the integration of advanced machinery and CAD software in the design and manufacturing processes such as LASER-cut CNC, Wire-cut EDM, CNC machining centres and Presses.

The visit not only enhanced their understanding of theoretical concepts but also inspired them to consider the practical applications of their studies. The faculty coordinators, Dr Amit Bhende, Dr  Vimal Sontake, and Prof. Anthony Augustine, played a crucial role in organising this enriching experience. Overall, the visit was a valuable opportunity for students to bridge the gap between academia and industry.
