Blind Coding by the Department of Information Technology, Under CSI Student Chapter

The Department of Information Technology, under the CSI Student Chapter, organized the "Blind Coder" event on 22 August 2024. This event aimed to test and enhance participants' coding skills by challenging them to code without seeing their screens, thereby emphasizing logic, syntax knowledge, and concentration.

Participants were required to write code blindfolded, relying entirely on their programming knowledge and logical thinking. This unique format encouraged quick thinking, error-free typing, and a strong understanding of coding structures.

The event received an enthusiastic response, with numerous participants from various semesters and departments competing to showcase their coding skills under challenging conditions. They were judged based on the accuracy of their code, task completion, logical approach, and the time taken to complete the coding challenges.

Srushti Paradkar (5th Semester, CSBS) secured first place, while Nirjara Bhide (3rd Semester, IT) earned second place. Both impressed the judges with their focus, efficiency, and ability to code effectively without visual aid.
